The smell of chili wafts through the air. A craft brew is waiting to wash it down. You are wandering the grounds of a San Diego farm to the sound of live music on a clear September day…
The second annual Wild Willow Farm 5K & Chili Brew Fest unfolds Saturday, September 28, at 9 a.m. This harvest season celebration features a chili cook-off and beer tasting, plus a 5K trail run/walk.
Live music, farm tours, garden workshops and kid-approved farm fun add up to a great fall day with options for everyone! Get to know this San Diego Roots sustainable farm and education center.
There is a lot of new stuff growing down on the farm and the funds raised at the event will help Wild Willow Farm purchase a truck to deliver produce to their CSA and to the many awesome restaurants that will soon be able to order Wild Willow Farm’s Organic Produce.

Sample chili and beer, cheer on the 5k runners, and enjoy live music and tour Wild Willow Farm.
Learn about farms and gardening and enjoy one of San Diego’s open spaces. Activities are planned for all ages. Click here to buy taste tickets.
VEGETARIAN CHILI COOK OFF! Motivation? Compete for a CSA box (that’s a box of delicious produce from community supported agriculture). SIGN YOUR CHILI UP HERE, before space runs out.
Judging will take place at Wild Willow Farms, Saturday, Sept 28.

WILD WILLOW FARM 5K! Runners, enjoy a trail run that gets you out in the fresh air to enjoy some of San Diego’s countryside. Runners get discounted tasting tickets! For an extra $10, runners can add beer or chili tasting tickets. Register now for early-bird rates.

VOLUNTEERS! The Wild Willow Farm 5K & Chili Brew Fest is a great time to be introduced to this San Diego educational farm and help a cause while meeting others who enjoy the outdoors, local food and craft beer. Click here to volunteer.
DIRECTIONS: The event will take place at Wild Willow Farm (2550 Sunset Avenue San Diego, California 92154) Parking will be on along the driveway and on the street.

Are you a fabulous cook? Want to share your delicious fare with others? Then enter San Diego’s first all vegetarian chili cook off and dazzle runners with your culinary expertise. Only $20 gets you entry into our Vegetarian Chili Cook Off Competition. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
