Wild Willow Farm 5K & Chili Brew Fest
- Go Green!
You are wandering the grounds of a San Diego farm to stretch out before a 5K trail run. The smell of chili wafts through the air. A craft brew is waiting to wash it down. Post race, the sound of bluegrass music and laughter fills the air on this beautiful November day…
The 4th annual Wild Willow Farm 5K & Chili Brew Fest unfolds Saturday, November 14 at 9 a.m. This harvest season celebration features a chili cook-off and beer tasting, plus a 5K trail run/walk.
Clearly, the Wild Willow Farm 5K & Chili Brew Fest has FOOD, BEER, AND FARM FUN in store!
Sample chili and beer, participate in or cheer on the 5K runners, and enjoy live music and tour Wild Willow Farm. The first 100 chili tastings purchased will include a handmade ceramic bowl and first 100 beer tastings purchased include a signature glass, both are yours to keep!
Live music, farm tours, garden workshops and kid-approved farm fun add up to a great fall day with options for everyone! Get to know this San Diego Roots sustainable farm and education center. There is a lot of new stuff growing down on the farm and the funds raised at the event will help Wild Willow Farm fund scholarships for their sustainable farming education program to train the future organic farmers of America! - We are very conscious of the footprint out events leave on the earth, therefore this is a planet friendly zero waste event! Everyone who signs up for the chili and beer tasting gets a ceramic bowl and logo glass to use and keep! We don't give out any plastic bags or plastic water bottles! Our cups are made of recycled materials that are also compost-able! We put all of the food waste directly into the Wild Willow Farm compost bin. We only work with local or sustainable vendors and sponsors. To top it off charity itself is planet friendly and the chili cook off is organic and vegetarian - a double whammy for our 'food print!" This is the greenest, most delicious, best vegetarian chili cook off in So Cal!
