This race is also an opportunity to support nutritional medicine with the
Gerson Institute by making your race a “Run for Real Healing.” When you register, you can make a donation to the Institute or even create your own fundraising page. To find out more about Gerson, please visit www.gerson.org
DETAILS: Race up and down dirt country roads in vineyard territory, then raise your glass at a finish line wine or beer tasting with live music – all in support of local school gardens!!! Presented by Sandy Feet Events, the 3rd Annual Temecula Half Marathon & 5K presented by California Coast Credit Union at Wilson Creek Winery has limited space!
Do you believe that what you eat impacts your health? If you believe that there should be more awareness about alternative, nutrition based treatments for disease, then you may want to make your race a “Run for Real Healing” to support the Gerson Institute. When you register, you can make a donation to the Institute or even create your own fundraising page for the race. Create your fundraising page here: http://www.active.com/donate/Gerson

The Temecula 5K course travels through scenic back country roads, while the Half Marathon out-and-back takes runners past vineyards and farmland. Both hilly, the 5K is an easier course, while the Half Marathon offers a hard (hilly and hot) challenge. Remember, dirt roads are better on your knees. Temperatures are expected to be chilly at the start for this fall race, heating up to the 90s by midday. Bring cash if you want to drink a little extra. Proceeds from wine tasting goes to the Temecula Valley Slow Food’s School Garden Project.
There is another event on October 20th at the Promenade Temecula, so we recommend taking the 79/Temecula Parkway exit when exiting I-15 to avoid potential traffic on Rancho California Rd.
PRE RACE CHECK IN will be at Sports Authority (32413 Temecula Pkwy #400, Temecula, CA 92592) on Saturday, October 19th from 9:30am – 1:30pm. It is optional to pre-check in for those of you who want to save some time on race morning. If you can’t make it then you can also pick up your packet on the morning of the race starting at 6:30am. Be sure to get there early enough to check in and get to the start line at your designated time. Team captains can pick up for the whole team and friends and family can also pick up for each other.
VOLUNTEERS: We need you! If you don’t want to run but still want to participate, we would love to have more volunteers! You can make new friends, join in the fun, enjoy live music and be a part of a great event. Volunteers are a very important part of Temecula Half Marathon & 5K, without you it would not be possible to host a fun and safe race. For more info and the volunteer sign up form CLICK HERE.
