Join Girls on the Run of San Diego as we celebrate the accomplishments of girls from our area as they take on a 5K run. Open to the public (but not professionally timed), family friendly, vendors, food, and fun! Event opens at 7:00am, run starts at 8:30am. Walkers and Strollers welcome. Runners should arrive by 7:00 am for check in, face painting, group stretching and cheers.
Packet Pick Up is at Road Runner Sports (5553 Copley Drive San Diego, CA 92111) on Saturday, December 10th from 12:00-5:00p.m.
Use the POWER of RUNNING to make a Difference in the LIFE of a GIRL … and her family!
All girls in the program will be automatically registered for the run. We need a running buddy for EVERY girl! Due to the non-competitive nature of Girls on the Run, this event will not be timed. We will have an official race clock so you can see your finishing time but the results will not be posted anywhere online and no awards will be given. The idea here is EVERYONE is a winner!
$30 online. $35 on race morning. $20 for Running Buddies. $40 for youth-parent team.

Running Buddies
If you would like to register to run with one of the girls in the program you must be age 18 or older. If you are not a friend or family member of the girl you will be paired with, you must submit a background check before Dec 1, 2011. Instructions will be sent after we receive your registration. Directions & Parking
FROM THE NORTH: Take the 5 south to exit 17 for Front Street towards Civic Center. Turn left at W. Harbor Drive. Take the 2nd right onto Park Blvd. Park Blvd turns right and becomes Convention Way. There is an Ace Parking lot on your left which is very close to the event start. They charge $10 for the day. You can also park in the Convention Center and walk over, or any available downtown parking spots. Make sure you arrive early enough to find parking!
FROM THE SOUTH: Take the 5 North to exit 14B towards Cesar E Chavez Pkwy. Turn right at E. Harbor Drive. Turn left at Park Blvd and follow directions from the North above.
FROM THE EAST: Use the 8 West to get to the 5 North or South and follow the directions above.
