Get ready for the 2013 Grape Day 5K and Festival!
The Escondido Sunrise Rotary’s Grape Day 5K is a 5K fun run for everyone from elite runners to casual walkers, so bring the whole family out for a good time! Stick around for the Grape Day Parade and Festival where each participant will receive an included drink ticket for the wine and beer garden with world famous craft beer. Each runner will also receive a cool shirt and an even cooler schwag bag.
Once upon a time (i.e. the first half of the 20th century), Escondido celebrated their grape harvest and their city with Grape Day – a day full of free grapes and grape stomping. Grape Day is back in full force, complete with the free grapes, stomping of the grapes and general festival fun CLICK HERE for more info. Be part of the celebration by registering for the 3rd Annual Grape Day 5K.
The race course through historic Escondido finishes at the Grape Day Parade starting point. Runners can cool down while taking in Grape Day Parade sights and sounds, then refuel and have fun with family and friends at the Grape Day festival. The Grape Day 5K benefits the good works, locally and internationally, of the Escondido Sunrise Rotary including polio eradication, the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club and youth leadership programs.

This is the inaugural year of this event so there are no race results for 2010, Thanks!
Yes, all participants get a t-shirt and a cooler goody bag and a ticket to the beer garden.
I saw that there was a photographer at the event. Is there a place where these photos will be posted?

Thanks for the great event. I really enjoyed the goodie bag, and it was great to have so many enthusiastic volunteers. I look forward to next year!
The announcer was very funny! He made all of us laugh the entire time. It was the best post race I’ve ever had
I also have to say the two lead organizers were awesome and the staffing was perfect.
I will be back next year!

So impressed with the race today! Loved the cheerleaders and smiles on every volunteer and police officers faces. Such a smooth and fun run. Great job!
Beautifully done!! Well organized and the volunteers were friendly and so very helpful! The course was well constructed with water, cheerleaders and police/staff to direct traffic. Perfect to build it into the day–so the parade followed in the same area of town…BRILLIANT!! Thank you for all of the time and energy put into making this event successful. We’ll run it again!!
